Q-Is the DVBT 399U compatible with Windows Vista?
A- Yes it is.

Q-Is the DVBT 399U powered by a separate mains adaptor or by the USB?
A- The DVBT 399U is powered by the USB.

Q-Does the DVBT 399U support USB 1.1?
A- No. It only supports USB 2.0

Q-Because DVBT 399U allows you to watch two digital freeview channels at once, does this mean that you need to have two aerials?
A- No, you only need one aerial input.

Q-How good is the antenna provided?
A- It depends. In Europe it would be fine. It the UK, we recommend that you use a rooftop aerial as the signal differs in different areas. In some areas you can get all freeview channels with a portable digital antenna. Obviously in an area where there is better coverage then the better the reception will be with the small aerial provided. Sometimes though, even in your living room if you have a set up box using a portable digital antenna, it doesn’t guarantee that DVBT 399U can use the same antenna.

Q-Is the DVBT 399U compatible with Mac?
A- Unfortunately not. It is only compatible with Windows.

Q-Would the DVBT 399U work with a smartphone that has a USB port?
A- No. It only works with desktop or laptop computers.

Q-Does the DVBT 399U support connection for alternative aerials if the supplied one isn’t strong enough?
A- Yes, you can use any portable DVB-T aerial. We recommend users in the UK using roof-mounted aerial.

Q-Does the DVBT 399U support teletext?
A- It only supports DVB standard teletext, which is normal throughout most of Europe. Unfortunately UK teletext is not DVB standard, therefore it does not.

Q-Is the DVBT 399U compatible with Linux/ Unix?
A- No. It is only compatible with Windows.

Q-When you say free-to-air do you mean with a satellite dish or a freeview receiver?
A- You do not need a satellite dish. This product is DVB-T therefore you need a normal aerial which receives the regular terrestrial 5 channels. Products requiring satellite dishes are DVB-S.

Q-Is the DVBT 399U compatible with Windows 2000?
A- No. Windows XP and after.

Q-How many freeview channels can I get with the DVBT 399U?
A- It depends on the area that you live. You can receive all of the freeview channels in your area. Check www.freview.co.uk for details.

Q-Does the DVBT 399U come with a remote control?
A- Unfortunately not.
